There are several reasons why a parent in Arizona may need to send a records request to their child's public school. Some common reasons include:
1. Transferring to a new school: If the child is transferring to a new school within Arizona or moving to a different state, the new school may require academic and behavioral records from the current school.
2. Special education services: Parents of children receiving special education services may need to request records to ensure that the appropriate supports and accommodations are in place at the new school.
3. Documentation for assessments: If the child is undergoing a psychological or educational evaluation, the school records may provide valuable information to the evaluating professionals.
4. Legal reasons: In some cases, parents may need school records for legal proceedings, such as custody battles or disputes over educational services. In this case, it is recommended to contact an attorney.
Overall, requesting records from the child's public school in Arizona can help ensure continuity of education and support for the child's academic and developmental needs.
